What is a Noun?
A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, or idea. Nouns can be singular (one) or plural (more than one).
Types of Nouns:
- People: Names of people or groups.
- Examples: teacher, doctor, friend, family
- Places: Names of locations.
- Examples: school, park, city, country
- Things: Names of objects or items.
- Examples: book, car, apple, table
Countable and Uncountable Nouns
- Countable Nouns: These nouns can be counted. They have singular and plural forms.
- Example:
- One apple (singular)
- Two apples (plural)
- Example:
- Uncountable Nouns: These nouns cannot be counted. They usually do not have a plural form.
- Example:
- Water (not waters)
- Rice (not rices)

Nouns in Sentences
Nouns are important in sentences. They can be subjects or objects.
Examples:
- People:
- The teacher (subject) teaches (verb) the students (object).
- Places:
- I go (verb) to the park (object).
- Things:
